How to select a linear sliding stage based on the load?

The key of the linear sliding stage is to use it in parallel and repeated motion areas, with higher rated load than linear rolling bearings, in order to achieve high-precision linear operation under long-term load conditions. Proper practical operation of a linear slide stage can reasonably improve efficiency and reduce common faults caused by poor practical operation. Generally, a linear slide stage can be applied with multiple axes.


The load working capacity of the linear sliding stage is related to the following:

1. Motor rated power

The AC servo motor output power matched with the linear module application is small in output power and small in load, while the output power is large in load.

2. Instantaneous velocity

The instantaneous speed of load movement, the higher the instantaneous speed, the smaller the load working capacity. On the contrary, the lower the instantaneous speed, the greater the load working capacity (the instantaneous speed of the screw nut type mold group is generally 0.17G, and the instantaneous speed of the transmission belt type mold group is generally 0.4G).


3. Hardware equipment load-bearing limit

The load limit of the linear module itself lies in the dynamic load specified values of the ball screw and slide rail, but it generally does not exceed the specified values.


4. Self compression limit

Under the consideration of the first few points, the basic theoretical limit of linear modules should not exceed their own compression limit, otherwise it will cause problems such as deformation.
