Application of the air flotation platform:
In both scientific research and industrial applications, the air flotation platform has been widely used. The core working principle of the air flotation platform is based on the gas dynamic pressure effect. It uses air flotation bearings and electronic control components to form a precise displacement platform, allowing the supporting surface to float on the air flotation guide rails or bearings, achieving smooth motion without friction or vibration.
Working principle:
The structure of the air flotation platform consists of main components such as air flotation guide rails (including the bearing surface), linear motors, and grating scales. Clean, water-free and oil-free compressed air is input through air pipes into the air chamber gap between the bearing surface and the air flotation guide rails. The gas flows within the air chamber gap, causing the bearing surface to float on the air flotation guide rails. The gas acts as a lubricant, enabling frictionless movement.
The common air-floating linear guides have the following forms:

Gravity-balanced air-floatation guide rail
2) Closed-type air-float guide rail
3) Permanent magnet pre-loaded floating guide rail
d) Vacuum suction type air flotation guide rail
The common structure of the air flotation holes is:
1) Small hole throttling structure
2) Porous structure
Application fields:
The traditional positioning precision platforms driven by rotation and ball screw mechanisms have disadvantages such as numerous transmission links, large response lag, friction, and poor accuracy. However, the air-floating positioning platform combining air-floating bearings with electromagnetic direct drive overcomes these drawbacks. The air-floating platform is widely applied in numerous fields such as semiconductors, lithography equipment, aerospace, 3D processing, precision vehicles, and biomedicine.
