The environmental micro-vibration interference that needs to be considered in the design of a precision vibration isolation system is complex, including the swing of the large building itself, the vibration from the ground or between floors, the vibration of electric instruments and equipment, various mechanical vibrations, and the vibration caused by sound, Vibration caused by external street traffic, even vibration caused by people walking.

From the structural point of view, the optical platform is mainly divided into two parts: the table and the support, so the vibration isolation performance of the optical platform depends on the vibration isolation performance of the table itself and the support.

Generally speaking, the vibration isolation of the optical platform is achieved through three aspects 

1. Vibration isolation support: Generally speaking, the performance of air-floating vibration isolation support is better than that of damping vibration isolation support, and some excellent vibration isolation supports can reduce external vibration (commonly 10~200Hz) by one to two orders of magnitude

2. Physical performance of the table: It is required that the table has a certain degree of rigidity and is lighter (hard-to-weight ratio). Such a table can effectively reduce the amplitude of resonance. This will be explained later

3. The internal structure of the table: the internal structure of the table, in addition to reducing the external vibration that the bracket cannot eliminate, plays a vital role in reducing or eliminating the vibration caused by the impact and relative movement on the table.
