The torque required to fine-tune the drive knob of the longitudinal displacement stage increases as the load on the displacement stage increases. If you want to make a coarse adjustment over a long stroke range, you can use the quick-release button of the displacement stage. Pressing this button will separate the displacement stage from the guide rod, making it convenient to adjust the position of the mounting plate with your hands. The pins on the back of the displacement stage can be placed in the quick-release lock through the bead chain to prevent the activation of the coarse adjustment function. It is recommended to always keep the pins engaged with the quick-release lock except when using the coarse adjustment function. The quick-release button and locking pin can be seen in the picture above. If you use the quick-release mechanism for coarse adjustment and the mounting platform drops, the two buffers on the bottom plate of the displacement stage will help minimize damage. After setting the required platform height, you can lock the lever clamp with two handles to make the mounting surface more stable.
